What should I drink at 626 Night Market?
Get fresh sugarcane juice. We press it to order at 626 Night Market, with nine flavors to pick from. Start with the original nước mía if you have never had it, or the kumquat if you like a little citrus.
What should I try at FoodieLand?
Something cold and fresh. We press sugarcane juice to order at FoodieLand in San Diego, San Francisco, San Jose, Pasadena and Portland. It's light and not too sweet, which helps after a few plates of festival food.
What is nước mía?
Nước mía is Vietnamese sugarcane juice. Raw sugarcane stalks go through a press and the juice is served cold over ice. You'll find it on street carts all over Vietnam. It's far less sweet than people expect.
What does fresh sugarcane juice taste like?
Light and clean, closer to coconut water than to soda. It tastes nothing like refined sugar. Kumquat makes it tart, dragon fruit makes it softer and sweeter, and guava makes it tropical.
Where can I find Cane Fusion?
We don't have a storefront. We bring the cane press to festivals: FoodieLand, 626 Night Market, the UVSA Tết Festival, Asian Expo and the LA Korean Festival, across Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego, the Bay Area and Portland. Every confirmed date is on our events page.
Is sugarcane juice vegan?
Yes. It's pressed plant juice, with no animal products. Our original nước mía has one ingredient: sugarcane. The kumquat, dragon fruit and guava drinks add only that fruit.
Is sugarcane juice gluten free?
Yes, naturally. Sugarcane has no gluten and we add no syrups, powders or thickeners. If you have a serious allergy, come talk to us at the booth and you can watch us make your cup.
Do you add sugar or syrup?
No. Nothing is added and nothing is pre-mixed. The sweetness comes from the cane itself. No concentrate, no powder, no added water. Every cup is pressed when you order it.
Can I book Cane Fusion for a private event?
Yes. We do weddings, company parties, birthdays and festival bookings around Los Angeles and Orange County. Email buu@canefusion.com with your date, location and a rough headcount.
Who runs Cane Fusion?
We're a Vietnamese family. Our grandparents grew sugarcane on a small farm, our parents say the taste brings them right back home, and we grew up with stalks in the backyard. We're also a proud sponsor of the UVSA Tết Festival, the largest Vietnamese festival in the United States.
